PIERRE- A handsome young farmer.

Last Friday, Pierre’s farm was vandalized, his garden destroyed and his pig was slaughtered.

Pierre loves women but he is still single. Having dated many of the women in the village, he cannot decide on only one.

JOSEPH- An old bachelor and a very successful businessman.

Joseph (owner of the local store) buys fruits, vegetables, preserves, meats, etc. from the locals. Rumour has it that he also deals with very shady characters and for this reason; he is not the most popular man in the village.

TROVÉE- Son of Casimir and d’Exilda, husband to Joséphine.

He is a carpenter just like his father, and works long hard hours to satisfy his wife, Joséphine. He sometimes finds it hard to keep her happy…. He is a very likable guy who is generally quiet, especially when his wife is around.

 MAGUITE ANNE- Etienne’s sister; Jean-Marie’s ex-fiancée.

A woman scorned who no longer trusts anyone. She lives with her brother Etienne and his familly, she helps out with the children and the housework.

EUGENIE- Jean-Marie’s fiancée.

Eugénie can’t wait to get married, after having been witness to Maguite Anne being left on the altar; she doesn’t want to take any chances. A wholesome young woman who is very religious and still lives with her parents. She helps out at home by working and earning money when she can.

FRANÇOISE- Widowed two years ago.

She works in Joseph’s store. She was only married for two years when her husband was lost at sea.

Lately though, she has been seen enjoying Pierre’s company. Rumour has it that they have been seeing each other for a little while now.

ANNE ROSE- Eugénie’s sister and Pierre’s servant.

Anne Rose has been keeping house for Pierre almost full time for the past two years. She is a beautiful young woman who is well respected for the work she does at the church. Each Saturday morning she cleans the entire church by herself and picks fresh flowers for the altar.
