Use one of these Vesuvius volcanic rocks as a powerful symbol of the Element of Earth and/or Fire. When we found these rocks we Raised a Circle and prayed for permission and for the blessing of the Goddess.

Even from a geologic viewpoint the rocks are interesting. You can see where the gas bubbles were in the lava. Remember, Mount Vesuvius has a history of explosive eruptions.

It destroyed Pompeii in 79AD. This is Mother Nature at her rawest power. We must always be humble in our Wiccan religion to remember we are not the source of power - it comes from outside of us. We collected these stones in 2003 on our trip to Italy.
