Ancient Religions almost always used body paint to display religious symbols on their bodies, as well as on clothing and art objects. As we live in Northern Minnesota we have been fortunate to be able to study the magikcal traditions of the Ojibway "tcisaki" Shaman. The power of symbols or Pictographs on the body is very much misunderstood by Christians who are only familiar with the notion of war paint. This totally distorts and hides the true meaning and power of Ojibway magick and the shaman's particular capacity to evoke resonance with the supernatural world.

Pictographs of North Hegman Lake, MN

 

Within a days travel by canoe from our home town is the famous Pictographs (Petroglyphs) on Hegman Lake. They are thought to be over 1000 years old. The paint of the pictographs are made from local minerals that are high in iron. Our Magick Body Paint is made from the same mineral source.

Our body paint is perfect for your Wiccan Ceremonies. It is red in color which is symbolic for Love, passion, sexuality, courage, strength and vitality. We make the paint for our own sacred Wiccan ceremonies. It is great for decorating your body for skyclad ceremonies. Best of all it washes completely off - it will not leave any telltale residue. As we make our Magick Body Paint in the traditional way it is not highly processed. There may be some small amounts of grit and organics. It is made the way Ojibway Shamans would have crafted their body paint long ago.
