This is an extremely high quality robot, an incredible reproduction of the classic Winky Robot originally made by Yonezawa Japan in the 1950s.
This robot is so accurate both in form and function that it can be termed as an almost exact reproduction!
This is the grey version, we also have a blue version in our other listing. Both are based on the original colors!
One of the very finest quality mechanical tin toys
made in late 2004 by the Planet Robot Company. Only 200 were made,
each with a unique serial number stamped on bottom and comes with
an ID Card.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Winky Robot is presented in a beautifully lithographed exact reproduction box. Includes all inserts, certificate of authenticity (ID Card) and collectors cards. All in brand new condition.
Robot is around 9 1/2 inches tall and is mechanical clockwork operated with attached wind up key. Constucted of tin with all the same functions and characteristics of the original including hammer paint finish, rubber ears and original style lenticular eyes which is how Winky got his name since the eyes wink
Winky Robot walks forward strongly with dial moving back and forth on the RADIATION COUNTER METER in his chest. There is an on-off switch on chest above meter. Fantastic bright sparking action is visible behind red lens mouth.
