These alarm contacts are flush mount type used in many alarm systems so that the sensors are not visible. A hole is drilled to mount the contact in a window sill or door frame. The contact on this magnetic alarm switch set is closed when near the magnetic target. Once a gap of approximately 3/4" is encountered, the switch will open.
