Vintage early 1900s solid quartered oak fireplace mantle (mantel) made by WM. H. Jackson mantle company. Item was previously painted white and was stipped down a few years ago. Some minor clean up and the mantle is ready for a new finish. Very large at 83 3/4 inches wide X 66 inches high with a depth of approx 12 inches with an opening of 58 inches wide X 45 1/2 inches high. Very straight lines with raised rear and serpentine shelf over 6 small round carved medallions with reeded squared off columns and scrolled supports. Remnants of paper label from WM H Jackson Company on rear.
