THIS UNBELIEVABLE LITTLE SNUFF BOTTLE MEASURES 2 1/4" HIGH (WITHOUT THE LID),   2"" WIDE AND  3/4' THICK . I DON'T FIND ANY CHIPS OR CRACKS OR ANY OTHER DEFECTS, HOWEVER THERE IS SOME TARNISHING TO THE SILVER LIKE METAL USED ON THE BRIM AND BOTTOM OFTHE BOTTLE.

THIS LITTLE BOTTLE IS OF FLATTENED OVOID SHAPE AND IS MADE OF CINNABAR, A LAQUER LIKE SUBSTANCE USED BY THE CHINESE FOR SMALL DECORATIVE OBJECTS , SPECIFICALLY BEADS, BRACELETS, AND SNUFF BOTTLES. IT HAS A LIKENESS OF QUAN YIN ON TWO SIDES, BOTH FLYING BUT VERY DIFFERENT. THE REST OF THE BOTTLE HAS DEEP CARVING OF TREES AND FLOWERS ALL OVER.

THE LID IS THE ORIGINAL, BUT LOOKS AS IF AT SOME TIME IT WAS PROBABLY MENDED, WITH A NEW SPOON.

OF THE DYNASTY MARKS ON THE BOTTOM ARE WRITTEN IN "ZHUAN" (ARCHAIC SEAL SCRIPT).

THE FOOT IS ALSO A RECTANGLE AND IS QUITE LONG MEASURING 3/8" . THE DYNASTY MARKS ON THE BOTTOM ARE WRITTEN IN "AHUAN" ARCHAIC SEAL SCRIPT.
