 This is a wonderful machine for duplicating a guitar or any other wood instrument or thousands of other wood items. Made of welded steel construction, this Duplicator is the best manual machine on the market. It will carve objects such as electric guitar bodies, up to 16 inches wide and the rotating mechanism will handle 3-D objects up to 8 inches in diameter. The length of objects to be carved can be extended easily to meet your needs. We can custom make Duplicators to handle wider dimensions by special order for a very modest cost. While not a substitute for fine hand craftsmanship, it will cut a blank down to where all that is needed is a final sanding. Amazingly smooth and precise, this is just the thing for production work.  A guide pin follows the contour of the original while a carbide bit does the cutting, the whole mechanism moves effortlessly on steel shafts fitted with roller bearings.  Comes complete with everything necessary to start working immediately, all you need supply is the table to mount it to (a 48 X 48 piece of plywood is fine), and the steel rails, available locally everywhere for about $60 (although we can supply the rails for an additional cost. The rails cost more to ship than to buy).  Comes with a premium 30,000 rpm router (Ridgid brand) that will last seemingly forever.

Includes a rotating and holding mechanism that allows you to carve guitar necks in 3D, as well as violin necks, chair legs, virtually anything that can fit within the 8 inch diameter dimensions. Will cut the precise outline of instrument fronts and backs with ease (this makes the production of difficult pieces, such as a violin back cut to exact size very easy. Normally, these are tough to outline by hand from an original because of the curve... the Duplicator performs this precisely). Three different cutting bits are supplied with the machine, as well as the guide pins to match. Want to add different router bits of your own choosing?... uses standard 1/4" shank router bits.  Easy to learn, very forgiving, and extremely precise, this duplicator will inspire you to make so much that was previously not possible.
