ROBERT HEWITT is proud to be a member of ART FOR CRITTERS (A4C), an organization of online artists committed to the concept of using art to benefit animals in need. Please note that 50% of the proceeds of this auction will be donated to ALMOST HEAVEN GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE AND SANCTUARY, INC. (AHRR) of Delray, West Virginia, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. AHRR accepts senior or "special needs" Goldens from shelters, owner give-ups and other rescues, and is a refuge for those Golden Retrievers who otherwise may be labeled "hard to adopt" or "unadoptable" by ordinary standards. Some of the Sanctuary Goldens remain only until medical care is completed and they become well enough for adoptption, or until that "special" home is found. Other Goldens receive love and care at the AHRR Sanctuary for the rest of their lives. No Golden Retriever is ever turned away from Almost Heaven because of age or health, and each Golden who becomes a resident is considered a valued member of the "family."

RAT-A-TAT WOODPECKER

The snowshoe kitty is intrigued by the tapping sound coming from the side of the house. If he could see the handsome red-headed, yellow-bellied woodpecker making the sound, he'd be even more fascinated!

About the Artist:
|
|
ROBERT HEWITT is an award-winning designer, photographer, illustrator, and watercolorist, who typically sells his larger pieces through galleries and at shows. He has recently begun doing ACEOs and OSWOAs for sale on eBay. A classically trained artist with strong experience in design and illustration, Bob lives in a high mountain valley in northwestern North Carolina with four cats, assorted wildlife, and his wife, a published writer whose works he sometimes illustrates.
ABOUT THE ART: This piece of art is known as an ACEO or ATC (Artist Trading Card), 2-1/2 inch by 3-1/2 inch unframed art. In collecting the art, the buyer becomes part of a centuries-old tradition that began when artists exchanged such pieces and also showed them to patrons as mini-versions of larger works or even of proposed works.
Each piece of art is original and one-of-a-kind and is signed on the front. The digital signature that appears at an angle across the front of the art is for eBay listing purposes only, and does not appear on the artwork.
In purchasing the art, the buyer acquires the physical possession of the original art; the copyright and the right to use the art in other ways, as is usual, remains with the artist.
ABOUT THE MEDIA: Bob uses watercolors from several makers, principally Da Vinci, Winsor & Newton, Rembrandt, Daniel Smith and American Journey. This piece is painted entirely in watercolor on high-quality extra-white, 300 lb, Hot Pressed watercolor paper. Prior to mailing, the art will be sprayed with Golden's Archival Varnish / Mineral Spirit Acrylic Aerosol w/UVLS (Gloss) to protect the surface.
ABOUT THE ACCURACY OF THE IMAGE AS TO COLOR AND GENERAL APPEARANCE: It is important to Bob that the depiction that appears in the eBay listing is accurate, and the image shown was scanned at 1200 dpi on high-quality equipment in an attempt to ensure this. The art appears accurate on the monitor to which it was scanned, but digital duplication inevitably involves certain deficiencies. If you like the art in the image, you'll almost certainly find the original richer and more pleasing, but please keep in mind that monitors - depending on their settings - differ in the way that they depict a particular piece of art.
RELISTING: Bob's policy is not to re-list. Any ACEO or OSWOA that is not bought at the initial eBay auction is sold by one of his galleries or de-accessed in some other way.
PLEASE EMAIL BOB WITH ANY QUESTIONS: If you have any questions about this piece, Bob would enjoy hearing from you, but please ask before you bid.

| Shipping
Details: |
|
COST: The Series will be shipped to the U.S. and Canada. Shipping cost is a flat $1.90 for the U.S. Shipping costs for other locations will be calculated automatically by eBay. Shipping discounts will apply, i.e., if you win more than one piece of art in an auction ending upon the same day, you will pay only the one shipping amount. Shipments going to the U.S. will be insured for the full amount of the successful bid. Shipments going to other countries cannot be insured and so shipping is at Buyer's risk. If you are a foreign bidder and wish tracking, please contact Bob before paying and tell him how you wish the shipment handled and verify the amount of the additional S&H for which you will be responsible.
HOW ART WILL BE PACKED FOR SHIPPING: The art will be enclosed in a rigid PVC protector and sent in a padded "Air Jacket" mailer to the name and address shown by PayPal within two business days of PayPal notification that payment has been received and cleared. |

Certificate of Authenticity: |
|
The CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (COA) is attached to the rear of the painting. The COA provides the piece's title, name of artist, format, nature of piece and copyright information (as is usual, as mentioned above, ownership of the right to reproduce and use the image remains with the artist while physical ownership of the original piece of art passes to the patron purchasing the art). The COA, which also provides contact information, is signed and dated by Bob.
