You are bidding on a rare autograph of famed novelist, Edna Ferber, signed to movie legend Rock Hudson. This black and white 8 x 10 inch photograph was taken at the premiere of Giant, the 1956 film based on Miss Ferber's book, which starred Mr. Hudson in an Oscar nominated performance. With her typical wit, Miss Ferber comments on both the rain at the event and the barrage of cameras: "Dear Rock Hudson, I think authors should keep out of the rain-and out of range, too. Don't you agree? Edna Ferber."

This photo is on heavier paper stock than most movie stills and has a matte finish. The autograph is not a reprint or facsimile. It was signed with a fountain pen in black ink. Condition of the photo is very good with one very small fold in the lower right corner.
