This auction is for a very lovely, wonderful and just stunning set of original antique heads and bodies twin Hilda JDK, Kestner Dolls. What beautiful dolls. Lovely open/close blue eys, lovely brush stroked eyebrows and painted upper and lower eye lashes, red dot in nostrils and corner of eyes, lovely rosey red cheeks with beautiful painted rosey red painted lips, open mouth with two upper teeth and tongue, molded hair. Each marked on the back of the head ..neck area..HILDA, the letter "C" in a circle, J.D.Kestner, ges.gesch. N 1070, Made in 16 Germany. Each on a five piece composition original baby body with all original finish and red painted linings for the toes and fingers, red blush on feet, knees hand and elbows, slight rub on hands. Tiny flea bite left corner of eye in one doll, hardly noticable, does not take away from the beauty of this doll. Each baby is wearing ecru and baby pink cotton thread matching bonnets, sweater, pantaloons, socks accessorised with dainty flowers and pink silk ribbon, and hand made pink leather high top shoes with white buttons. Each sweater has a matching doll pin. Measure approx. 21 inches in height. An outstanding and beautiful set of twin Hilda Dolls.
