Did you know? Max Mara, or The House of MaxMara,is an Italian fashion house. It is best known for elegant, wearable, ready-to-wear clothing. Achille Maramotti began designing couture clothing in 1947, and officially established the House of Max Mara in 1951. The "Mara" came from his surname, "Max" came from Count Max, a local character who was seldom sober but always stylish.
Max Mara has spawned 35 labels, although Max Mara womenswear remains the core of the company. Other brands include Sportmax, Sportmax Code, Weekend Max Mara, Marella, Pennyblack, iBlues and Marina Rinaldi; the latter is a plus-size label named after Maramotti's great-grandmother. The trendy, youth division is called Max & Co.

We give VERY detailed and factual descriptions. We want you to be happy with your purchase and part of that is making the right choice. We emphasize on fit, material and color and stress several times that in case you are ambivalent about your choice, please check with Max Mara BEFORE bidding as we do not allow for returns.
- Color: Gray (almost - a herringbone design) - see pictures
This is the best we can describe this color. If you are ambiguous about your choice, please check with Max Mara before bidding as all our sales are final!! We are NOT responsible if the color does not suit you/the intended gift recipient or if you interpreted the colors differently (f.ex. you expected a different shade of gray).
The visual sensation of color is very subjective. Each person experiences the sensation of color differently because many variables influence our color perception. Even if we did all see color the same way, we would still interpret and describe it differently based upon our individual life experience.

- Size: Size S for small written on the tag (see picture) - please check measurements before bidding
PLEASE NOTE: To date there is no uniformity in sizing. Every manufacturer uses a different sizing system. Please do not say to yourself "I ALWAYS wear a size S in Max Mara" but rather check the measurements. The best (and only thing) we can do is to quote the size of a garment and give you the measurements. Please measure one of your items (which fits you) against the measurements we are giving you. We are not the manufacturer of this item and decline all responsibility as to the fit or the sizing of the garment.

Measurements: Measurements are approximate and taken to the best of our abilities. This is an item without closures (no buttons) - if measured by 3 different people, we would get 3 different measurements. Measurements are an indication only!!!

- Cardigan has no opening but a belt - cardigan can fit a variety of sizes BUT please apply common sense. A size small will NEVER fit a size 12 or 10 or 14 and so on (just examples)

- Shoulder to shoulder (seam to seam) : approx. 21" or 53,34 cm
- Underarm to underarm (seam to seam): approx. 21" or 53,34 cm (obviously there is some flexibility with the underarm measurement since there are no buttons)
- Sleeve length (shoulder seam to wrist): approx. 21" or 53,34 cm
- Total length: (measured from shoulder seam to bottom edge): approx. 40" or 101,6 cm
- Length of belt: approx. 61" or 154,94 cm
- Width of belt: approx. 1.5" or 3,81 cm
Our mannequin measures 5.8" (1.75 m), is a small size 6 (US) and is a lifeless object without any body flaws (basically a wooden body on a stick). Item might or might not look or drape the same on you. We decline all responsibility!
Measure once - measure twice - we want you to get it right. The cut of garments and the sizing varies from season to season. You owe it to yourself to make sure the item fits you or fits the intended gift recipient BEFORE bidding as we do not allow for returns nor exchanges. The best and only thing we can do is to state the size on the tag
