Guenther Rall, World War 2 Luftwaffe Pilot with 275 Combat Kills, Signed Photograph!
Guenther Rall is the 3rd Highest Combat Ace in History. During combat duty in the Eastern and Western Fronts of World War 2, he shot down 275 enemy aircraft, was shot down himself eight times, had his back broken in three places, and his left thumb shot off. Of the over 20,000 Luftwaffe pilots in WW2, only some 2,000 survived the war. Unlike Western Air Forces where senior pilots were rotated home as flight instructors, in Germany pilots flew until they were either captured, incapacitated, or killed. As a result of this policy Rall’s combat kill numbers will never be matched in modern warfare. After the war Rall served with NATO flying F-104 and eventually becoming a NATO general. Now 75, Rall is still bombarded with hundreds or requests for appearances and speeches.
Item is a black and white photograph collage signed by Rall. This is his ACTUAL autograph, not a copy or autopen. The photograph is in excellent condition, no cuts, tears, or discolorations of any kind. Bidders should note that the ”grainy” texture of the image is due to MY SCANNER, IT IS NOT PART OF THE ACTUAL PHOTO!
