  WW II U.S. Aviator Helmet

 

Description:

This aviator helmet comes from our favorite local antique dealer who dates it to WW II.  It's Inside label reads:
Size Extra Large
Contract No. N288s-30999
 Slate & Klein, Inc.

Pretty sure it is considered a "summer weight" aviator helmet, commonly used by US Navy and Marine pilots operating from carriers and remote islands in the pacific during WW II.

 

 

Condition:

There is some minor soiling as seen in our photographs. The strap and snaps are in good condition. We see no major tears or rips in the helmet's material.

 

Other:

Its a fine find for any WW II Collector.
