Here is an old helmet that has been repainted. The liner appears to be a replacement with new riveting. The chin strap appears to be original. There are letters near the chip strap on the inside, see last photo. Measures 12" x 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" high. As is as found.
Please keep in mind we mostly are selling consigned used and/or played with items and not new items, so expect normal signs of wear and use. We will certainly point out wear or damage that is beyond normal. For some auctions we may not know if pieces are missing, if there has been restoration, or if the information our consignors provided is accurate, and we welcome corrections when you find an error on our part or notice something is not complete. What is in the photos is what is in the auction (except props) and photos are part of the description so please look at them closely. If you need additional photos or have questions let us know!
Please wait until invoiced to pay, especially for larger and/or heavier items or lots, and for all international bidders, although we appreciate fast payment we need to pack and we like to compare Fed Ex to see if we can ship for less to US buyers, and we have check to see if the country an item is being sent to changes anything. The shipping calculator is merely an estimate, and actual shipping may be less and occasionally is more. All auctions include a $1.00 handling fee added to the actual shipping cost.
PAYMENT is due within 5 days of auction end.
FOR ALL SHIPPING: All items are insured when shipped, and if over $250.00 we require signature confirmation (at our expense for US shipments).
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ONLY: Once there are bids we can not change the shipping calculator so there may be additional costs for shipping if we have to change shipping methods or add a signature service based on the auction sold price and each country's own rules. Each situation is different and until we have a sold price and destination we can not be sure the calculator is accurate. The auction sold price is the amount that will appear on the customs form as the item value. Any import duties or taxes you may have to pay on your end are your responsibility and not additional shipping.
FOR BOX LOTS OR LARGE LOTS ONLY: We get some great box lots from our consignors. Box lots are not described or inspected item by item but we will note any significant damage or problems we come across. Listing box lots instead of item by item in seperate auctions means we can list at at a low starting price for the whole lot rather than the same starting price for each piece. And although the shipping for a large lot of items can get expensive because of weight or box size, it certainly is a lot less than the accumulated cost of shipping each item by itself if they were bought one at a time. Listing box lots also allows us to list items that we would not otherwise list, because their individual value would be too low. So although we are limited to the amount of detail we can give about the individual items in a box lot, you get a substantial shipping savings, access to more of a variety of items, and sometimes a treasure in the mix!
