This auction is for a silk/satin pillow cover case sent home by a serviceman in the Army to his Sweetheart. The picture and writing on this case is a flocked short of application. Has yellow and tan fringe all around this case. The poem reads "Sweetheart, I know I needn't tell you how dear you are to me; my heart is on my sleeve for you For all the world to see! But some things when repeated, sound always fresh and new, and here is one thats in my mind, Darling I love you!" This case/cover is from Fort Snelling Minn. Minnesota, MN. U.S. Army is lettered across the top of this cover/case. The flocking is in excellent condition . The cover itself is also in excellent condition. No damage, no missing flocking. The backing is a irridescent type brown. Opening on the bottom to insert a pillow. This case measures approximately 17" square. Pretty green with light tan lettering. Fort Snelling Minn is done in a yellow flocking. Make sure and click on the thumbnail pictures and click again to enlarge and again to supersize.
