DVD #1 - CONCENTRATION CAMPS

"This is an official documentary report compiled from films made by military photographers serving with the allied armies as they advanced into Germany. The films were made pursuant to an order issued by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Forces." - Robert H. Jackson, U.S. Chief of Counsel (August 28th 1945).

Twelve camps are visited and the prisoners and persecuted are liberated. The barely living are relieved as food and medical attention are given by Red Cross volunteers while lifeless bodies are lifted from the ovens and dirt mounds outside the camps. Mass graves are dug and tractors push the remains of bodies that are too decomposed to be handled by workers...

DVD #2 - NAZIS & THE HOLOCAUST

APPROX. RUN TIME: 72 MINUTES W/SOUND

This DVD contains a series of 30 Universal Newsreels (presented in date order) that show the battles leading up to the destruction and occupation of Germany, the surrender of Germany, concentration camp footage and describes the methods Nazis used to torture and murder POW's and their attempts to carryout genocide of the Jewish people (poisonous gas showers, human ovens, mass graves, etc...).

Tremendous actual footage showing the absolute destruction of Germany with paratroopers and ground troops bombarding German cities and then liberating the impoverished POW's and Jews. The Nuremberg trials are also covered.

Timeframe covered is from March 20th, 1944 until November 8th, 1946...

DVD #3 - CONFORM OR ???

APPROX. RUN TIME: 68 MINUTES W/SOUND

Made up almost entirely of *RARE* and *SHOCKING* captured German footage, this DVD contains many scenes never before shown to the American public. Compiled by the Navy Club of the United States back in 1946 with the belief that "some things should not be forgotten" this film was never released because the content was considered far to graphic for it's time.

Shows Hitler's rise to power after World War I and describes how Germany took Austria without firing a shot and then successfully negotiated with Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister, for 1/3rd of Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain declares "there will be peace in our time" as Hitler sends Ribbentrop to Russia to negotiate a peace treaty while planning and executing the invasion of Poland, then Denmark, then Norway - country after country - until finally setting his sites on Belgium, France and eventually Russia.

 After great scenes of the allied forces finally conquering Germany, we see disturbing concentration camp and holocaust footage and much of the horrific evidence presented at the Nuremburg trials for condemned war criminals Himmler, Streicher, Goering, Ribbentrop, Keitel, Rosenberg, Kaltenbrunner, Jodl, etc... including soap extracted from dead bodies, scalps of women's hair used to make mattresses, pulled teeth used to create medallions from extracted fillings, and tanned human skin used to make gloves, suitcases and ladies hand bags. Finally, we're shown the bodies of German Officers convicted and hanged for these crimes against humanity.

Throughout this film, there are home movies shot by Hitler and Eva Braun showing private social gatherings with Nazi officers, Eva's feminine hyjinks and visual confirmation of the existence of Hitler's children - a son and a daughter.  Many historians who haven't seen this film continue to debate whether they existed at all.

Part 2 of this DVD (10 minutes) documents Benito Mussolini's rise to power and how he aligned himself with Hitler, made peace with the Vatican, the House of Savoy, the Pope and his demise at the hands of his once loyal regime. There's actual footage of him and his henchmen being strung up, dragged through the streets of Dongo, Lake Como, and the public display of his disfigured body lying on a slab in the morgue next to his mistress Clara Petacci who was also executed.

A final word about these films... The images above are somewhat mild in comparison to what is actually on these DVDs . Although all 3 DVDs have been independently compiled from separate sources, there are a few scenes that are repeated over the course of this 3 disc set although they have separate and distinct commentary. They are old, unedited, original films created by photographers in the field and dubbed by editors that would be considered amateurs by today's standards. In other words, don't expect them to have the same production quality as you would find in a feature film produced using today's technology.
