Hi. First off, this is a big heavy unit (75+ pounds). USA ONLY. Pickup is preferred. I'm in Akron, OH. 30 minutes south of Cleveland; 1.5 hours from Pittsburgh and Columbus.
I will however ship this item Fedex ground if the item is not picked up locally. Please split the cost of a few boxes and packing materials with me.

This is a WWII BC-375-E Transmitter and a TU-5-B tuning unit. These units are complete with all of the panels and the 4 large GE VT-4-C 211 tubes. The tubes alone are quite valuable.
This is just one of several vintage electronic items that I have up for auction this week, including a great 1963 AR-AX turntable, several Telefunken tubes, and a nice Eico ST70 tube amplifier, so be sure to check out my other auctions as well.
Another BC-375-E--that was missing both the tubes and the side/rear panels--recently sold on ebay for $300, and you can see that listing here.
This unit is untested and sold as-is. The tubes are too big to test on my tester and I did not apply electricity to this unit in any way. I do not know if it was ever used. It appears unmodified. I believe that this unit would've been used in one of the big bomber airplanes.
This unit is in nice condition overall. As you can see in the pictures, it has some cosmetic paint wear here and there, but nothing major.

is 80 lbs from 44223. Shipping is FedEX Ground insured for the full amount. Note that you must sign for the parcel. I recently had an parcel stolen off of a buyer's porch, and in the end I lost both the several hundred dollar parcel and the several hundred dollars I was paid for it that I had to refund. So now I require a signature. Shipping to your work address is preferable. Call 1-800-GOFEDEX if you need to make pickup arrangements. I will email the tracking number soon after I ship the item. |
