This hand tinted photograph by Wallace Nutting is entitled
"AN INTERRUPTED LETTER" (circa 1915-1925)

The matte is titled and signed by Nutting below the photograph.

Condition:

The photograph and signatures appear to have been very well preserved over the years. There is minor wear ( spots) as seen in our pictures, that appears more significant by the lens of our digital camera, than to the naked eye. Please see our pictures for your evaluation, and feel free to ask questions.

Wallace Nutting (1861 - 1941) was a U.S. minister, photographer, artist, and antiquarian, who is most famous for his pictures. He also was an accomplished author, lecturer, furniture maker and photographer.  His atmospheric photographs helped spur the Colonial Revival style.

A wonderful find from this historic U.S. Artisan that is certain to be a valued addition to any collection.
