This is a perfect wooden board for those who don't have a lot of room but don't want to play on a cardboard game board. The dark brown board and maple chessboard has tiny wooden feet. The walnut squares have a beautiful dark and light striped grain pattern. (see pictures) This is a quality board with a near perfect finish. The few flaws on the board are in the wood and are not caused by scratches or dings. I have stored it in its original cardboard sleeve attempting to keep it in mint like condition.

The board is a beautifully crafted inlaid masterpiece with a natural blonde maple wood color for the light squares and dark walnut for the dark squares and the border.
