The Waterford Society has sadly been discontinued. It was a wonderful club that collectors could join to get limited edition pieces that were not offered to the general public. This is one of those pieces. The Samuel Miller Dessert Dome was a part of the Waterford Society Private Collection. From the year 2000, this stunning recreation of an 18th century, 2 piece serving dish is intricately cut and would look absolutely incredible on your dinner table or in a curio cabinet. It can be used for a special dessert, butter, or cheese. The plate which of course can be used without the dome if you wish, measures 8" in diameter. The dome measures 4.75" diameter at the base and is approximately 6" tall. John Connolly, master designer signed the dessert dish at a 2005 event. Aslo etched in the plate as well as the dome are the Waterford Society symbol "2000 WS" and the Waterford Seahorse symbol which indicates made in Ireland. I do not remember for sure, but I believe the original price was $295. Very discontinued, very collectible and very reasonably priced in this auction! It has never been used or displayed and is in mint condition and comes wrapped in Waterford tissue paper with the original box. All my items come from a smoke free home. For International, if you have to check out immediately and want to buy more than one item, I will refund you the difference in shipping if you purchase the second item the same day. Since it is a pay immediately, there is no way to calculate the combined shipping but I promise, if there can be a break in shipping, I will give the difference back to you through a Paypal refund. Also on international, you may have to pay customs. Please know the rules in your country when you purchase. Neither of us want any surprises! And some countries, we cannot insure for more than $500 with standard Priority International so please contact me if you are purchasing an item or items for more than that because we may have to use an alternate shipping method. Finally I do not take returns unless I have misrepresented which I painstakingly try not to do! I will admit a scratch has gotten past me maybe twice in my Ebay career and I have always made good on it. Please make sure you truly want the item before you purchase it and please always read my description and look at the photos carefully to make sure this is what you want.
