After all, your system is made up of a camera or scanner, computer, and a printer that are mismatched. Being more critical of our devices requires we provide the tools necessary to accomplish what we expect.

Not exactly. When you change brands of ink or paper your printer will experience a common problem. Colors all over the place. Even with software to correct these images you experience crossover effects that make it very difficult to make your image pop the way it should.
Manufacturers provided me with a profile to fix that, right?
Well- not really. You see, your manufacturer profiled a printer in their facility using their paper and their ink. Your printer (even though it’s the same model,) has its own quirks. Add to that different paper types and the inks used and your manufacturer profile may be causing more problems than you realize. Besides, you didn’t get this far reading if it was working the way you expected.
