This is a genuine Wedgewood of Etruruia & Barlaston Williamsburg Commemorative Ware Plate entitled "Williamburg, Virginia. Printed on the back is the following: "WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA The Governor's Palace was the center of social life in Williamsburg, eighteenth-century capital of the British crown colony of Virginia. Here lived seven royal governors and the first two governors of the Common- wealth of Virginia.
The border shows: the Capitol and Governor's Palace at Williamsburg; the ships which brought the colonists to Jamestown in 1607; the old church tower at Jamestown; the Moore House at Yorktown where Articles of Capitulation were drafted; Washington firing the first cannon at the siege of Yorktown." Williamsburg is the Trade Mark of Williamsburg Restoration Inc. This plate is in excellent, MINT condition. The colors are exquisite...the scanner doesn't quite capture the beautiful artwork.
