DRAKE R8 SHORTWAVE RADIO
Here is where I sold another Drake R8 on October 10, 2009
Here is the feedback from that sale Wonderful transaction and packed BEYOND belief! Excellent and thank you! Oct-14-09 11:54 Well known DRAKE R8 Shortwave AM SSB Ham Radio Receiver (#130335379998)US $649.95 Please Note: I will be ending this auction tonight at midnight eastern time. If your serious about item please purchase before that time, otherwise will relist at later time. Highly sought after collector radio no longer being made by Drake, who made some of the best shortwave radio's ever made.
This Drake R8 has a BUILT IN SQUELCH which greatly enhances the use of this radio. For the life of me, I do not see why any shortwave radio's was made without the manufacturer adding the squelch feature to the radio.
This radio will be DOUBLE BOX and PACKAGE WELL using SHIPPING PEANUTS to ensure safe delivery to your address.
Will ship to CONTINENTAL USA ONLY (no exceptions).
I have used shortwave radio's for over 25 years, and I have personally tested this radio and it works very well. Radio does have slight marks from normal use but is in great condition. No hidden dents or dings. Has what appears to be appearance of water marks on exterior metal case. Notice the radio includes the tilt bail on the bottom. This option from Drake cost over $50.00 alone.
If I did not already own the Drake SW8, Grundig Satellit 800, Sony 2010, Eton E1XM, and JRC 535D, I would not be selling this radio.

All of these frequencies were received very well from Jacksonville, Florida at 7:45 PM in the afternoon. Received with the Drake R8 Shortwave radio that I have on auction here using a PAR EF-SWL EXTERNAL SHORTWAVE ANTENNA (Antenna Not Included but Highly Recommended).
