I plugged it in and turned it on. LED lights up and I measured voltage from some of the pins, but have no iron to test it with.

I, in no way intend to pad my prices with high shipping charges. I do however, strive to streamline the transaction by quoting flat-rate shipping. Then you can just pay at the end of auction and your item will be promptly shipped- no need to wait for a shipping quote. Since I can't possibly guess accurately I set it at something that should cover my costs- sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. If the actual shipping turns out to be much less than my flat-rate, and I got a fair price- I ship the fastest and highest insured I can. Also, I try to use new or lightly used boxes at all times. These cost money. I don't like getting things in beat up boxes, and assume you don't either.

If you feel the shipping is too high, reflect that by bidding lower so that the total price is reasonable to you. This is how I bid when I purchase items here on Ebay. I'm sorry I must mention this, but some folks just don't get it.
