I am selling my father's accordions. His health is declining and he can not lift up the accordions or work several of his fingers very well. So... it is time to let them go.
I am selling 2 accordions from his collection. A Burini and this Weltmeister. This instrament is in new condition. It is approx. 3-5 years old. My father was very maticulous in caring for his instruments. He would even cover the case with a blanket to keep it clean and un-mared.
From the manufacturer...
The Topas 96 Bass Accordion by Weltmeister is our German-made 4/4 reed instrument with 37 treble keys ranging from F-1 to F-4, measuring 17.4" from very top to bottom. 11 treble and 5 bass registers. Weight: 20.31 lbs. Musette tuning. From $2780
I believe this is the correct discription. The only model information on the accordion is Topas. I am not an accordion player, but this discription seems perfect and correct.
This is a no return auction. Don't bid unless you intend to buy. I am offering both accordions for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the listing at any time. There is a reserve price...it is reasonable for the a great deal for both accordions...much less than he paid only a few years ago and both accordions are in .
For some reason I can't figure out the shipping calculator. I haven't sold on Ebay for a while...and while it may be easier to list...it sure is difficult to customize. Shipping will be the actual cost to your door plus $5.00 for box and materials.
On Jul-17-08 at 08:47:55 PDT, seller added the following information:Thanks for the questions and your interest. Both accordians are nearly new in every way. I will answer each ? in the body...see below!
1. Are there any keys or buttons that don't play on either the push or the pull? No. All buttons are perfect.
2. How tight are the bellows? If you just let the bellows fall open, how fast do they move? If I don't press a key they don't move...well maybe 10 seconds to open an inch or less.
3. Is there any sort of moldy odor? No
4. What is the length of the keyboard? 17 1/4 inches plus (keys only)
5. How much does it weigh? using only the bathroom scale, the Weltmeister = 22 lbs. The Burini = 21 lbs.
My dad hasn't been able to play these instruments very much. They are as close to new as you can get. We live in Utah and it is very dry here...no mold of any kind.
