In a career that spans more than three decades, Pete Wernick (aka "Dr. Banjo") has had many important roles in bluegrass music. His years of touring and recording with Country Cooking and Hot Rize brought him worldwide attention as one of America's premier banjo players. He's also a songwriter, author of best-selling banjo books and Homespun instruction videos, and a teacher whose workshops, banjo camps and traveling clinics have inspired learning players worldwide.
Pete's performance schedule includes festival and concert appearances with his innovative part-jazz combo The Live Five. His various recordings are available from Sugar Hill, Rounder and Flying Fish Records.
