Western Electric Turquoise PRINCESS TouchTone Telephone

ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Here’s a nice faded blue TURQUOISE Western Electric Touch-Tone PRINCESS telephone. The phone has been cleaned, tested and works just fine. The phone has the original color matching extra long modular handset cord and a modular line cord jack, ready to plug in and use.

It will arrive ready to plug in and use and show-off too! This PRINCESS has a very unique feature; the bell loudness adjuster has an extra position for turning the ringer completely off! I have had over a dozen Princess telephones and this is the only one I have found with this rare feature. This means you can adjust the ringer from loud to soft, as is normally found on PRINCESS phones, but then the lever goes all the way over to a third position to turn off the ringer mechanism. Normally the ringer setting lever only has 2 positions; LOUD and SOFT, and you’d have to open the phone body and remove a wire to turn off the ringer completely. This is the way Western Electric should’ve made ALL of the PRINCESS phones!

The plastic body apparently started out as an aqua blue and turned into turquoise from sun fade. The current coloration is quite nice and, aside from the small area on the front which was underneath a sticker, very uniform, with even the cord matching the turquoise color. The body is otherwise in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The phone base has a white sticker with; purchase date - 8/21/84 and original date stamp; 78215. The original rubber pad on the bottom is in excellent condition. As you can see in the photo, the internal incandescent lamp with night light function is functioning perfectly, but you will need to supply a 2012A, 6 – 9 volt power transformer for the lamp yourself (usually available on eBay).

When I state that a phone has been cleaned that means that I have opened the body and cleaned the body completely, along with disassembling the handset for cleaning inside and out so that the buyer will not be receiving a phone with ancient tobacco stains or chewed up Cheetos spittle remains in the mouthpiece! If needed the cord is cleaned. The interior is cleared of dust and any debris, but I do not get into detailing the inner workings and polishing the brass bells like some other telephone specialists do here on eBay. You will receive a good clean working phone.

PAYMENT:

• Payment must be made by PayPal payment with a confirmed address for immediate shipment of auction items.  Using any other form of payment will require delay of any shipment of auction items until payment is cleared by bank.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  This policy is unfortunately necessary due to previous fraudulent and counterfeit forms of payments.
• Payment must be received within 7 DAYS of end of auction.

SHIPPING:

• Local pick up is always welcome.
• Customs fees, Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges and are the buyer's responsibility.
• If possible shipping charges for multiple auction wins will be combined.
• Buyer within the US prepays actual USPS with Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation or UPS delivery with Adult Signature shipping charges from 60618.
• International Buyer will prepay actual shipping amount in accordance with PayPal’s Buyer/Seller Protection Terms and Conditions.
• Shipping will only be through seller's arrangements with USPS or UPS.  Package pick ups on a bidder's delivery service account # is NOT ALLOWED.
