This 334 page book on CD gives an overview of every day life in the Western Reserve area of Ohio. The Western Reserve is the northeast corner of Ohio and includes the counties of Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Portage, Summit, Trumbull, Mahoning, Lake, Erie, Huron, Medina, and Lorain. A small part of Ashland county is included in the reserve as well. The book is also fully indexed at the end.
If you have any interest in pioneer life, or if you have ancestors who lived in this part of Ohio in the 1700 or 1800's, this book will certainly be of interest to you. Any seasoned genealogist will tell you that is important to not only learn about names, dates and places, but also where they lived and what life was like for them. This book will help fill in the gaps there. For example, did you know that spelling bees were common forms of entertainment in the Western Reserve? Do you know what Indian tribes called northeast Ohio home? Do you know what schools were like? Did you know that the Mormon church once had their headquarters in northeast Ohio? This book will reveal all of this and much much more!

Why purchase a book on CD? The original copies of many antique books are in bad condition and are fragile and difficult to handle. CDs are much more durable and easier to transport. You won't have to worry about damaging this CD like you would an old book.
This CD is both Mac and PC compatible. Sorry, but I cannot honor requests to do lookups due to time contraints.
Also, this CD is not returnable unless it does not work.
Check out my other auctions for other Ohio resources, including several items related to northeast Ohio and the Western Reserve area of Ohio.
