Westminster Australian Garden Birds Plate - Blue Wren

Westminster  "Australian Garden Birds" series Collector Plate  -  Superb Blue Wren.

The plate has a multicoloured picture of a superb blue wren (malurus cyaneus), signed by the artist Deirdre Hunt (see third photo). The plate has gold trim.

The plate measures 23.5cm (9.25") dia.

The plate is in excellent condition, with no chips, no cracks, no hairline fractures, no repairs, no crazing, no stains, no scratches or other damage to the picture and no wear to the gold trim.

The plate is backstamped by Westminster Fine China, Australia, and by the Australian Collectors Treasury. The back of the plate is also signed by Deirdre Hunt, and carries an official seal which reads " Australian Garden Birds, Official Seal, Limited edition" which is initialled "J.K".

The remainder of the back of the plate reads: "Australian Garden Birds. Superb blue wren. Malurus cyaneus. This is one of a series of Collectors plates depicting Australian Garden Birds. This series, exclusively commissioned from original paintings by Australain wildlife artist, Deirdre Hunt is an edition limited to 5,000 sets worldwide".

The plate comes in its original cardboard box, but has no certificate of authenticity (no C.O.A.).
