Here is an immaculately clean Weston Model 802 VU (audio level) meter, number
3224. It is in perfect working order with no scratches or other flaws. Weston
meters were the top grade industrial quality audio measuring instrument in
the middle part of the last century and this probably came out of a broadcast
or recording mixing console from somewhere between the late 1930s to the late
1950s. It has an internal (presumably copper-oxide) rectifier so it directly measures the
level of an audio signal applied to the terminals. Included is the 3.6 K-ohm
2 watt resistor attached to the terminals that was presumably part of the
calibration in the original application. It is 4.275 inches wide, 3.97 inches
high, and 1.84 inches deep. It mounts in a 3.29 inch diameter hole and is
secured with 4 screws from the front of the meter. It is warranted to be as
described but sold as-is with no other warranty expressed or implied. Insured FedEx Ground shipping within the continental U.S. is $8, shipping to other locations at actual cost. |
