This is an original 80's CD edition, not the newer one in ebay's database. Complete with old-school smooth-sided case! ABOUT ME Like you, I'm a dedicated CD collector and audiophile. Add me to your Favorite Sellers list and check in with me every week to see the latest offerings.ABOUT THIS CDLike many early CDs, this one was pressed in Japan for the American market. Back in those days, there weren't yet any CD pressing plants here in the USA, so early CDs were pressed either in Japan or West Germany. In many cases, the CDs I sell will be first editions, or the very first time that title ever appeared on CD. Because so few people had CD players way back when, very few of these early CDs were pressed, making them rare and collectable today. In addition to being coveted by collectors, many audiophiles prefer these early CDs, as they have no over-compression (excessive LOUDNESS) or crazy EQ applied like so many modern versions or so-called "remasters".Also, the quality of the discs themselves is much higher than modern versions, which you can easily see and feel when you hold one of these great old CDs. They are thicker and more sturdy, and have a mirror finish to them. It is believed that the extra care and quality control used at early CD pressing plants also contributes to the increased sound quality of many of these older CDs.
