DESCRIPTION: This is such a fun purse! I think it from the early to mid 1950s. It is a dark red plastic, imitating leather, with big red circular decorative buttons down the front. On the back is one smaller button. They look like pocket flaps but they do not open. It opens instead with two brass push clasps in the center. The purse frame is embossed brass and the lining inside is black.

CONDITION: The condition is very good with some flaws, it has some surface dirt in the folds on the sides and some marks inside in the interior lining. On the front, there are 3 scuffs on the biggest button, a white line, a dark dot and a grayish area, as shown in the pics. On the back, there are 6 small white marks next to the button, and there are some other light scuffs scattered here and there. The big white areas in the photo at the end are just reflections on the plastic from my camera flash. There is also a little bit of rust down in the hinge inside the metal frame.

Despite these flaws, the purse still is really cool and displays well - it's a cutie!

SIZE: This handbag is about 12.25 inches tall including the handle, or 7 inches from bottom to the clasps. It is 4 inches wide at the top and 8 inches wide at the bottom, it is 4.5 inches deep. The handles are 13 inches in total length.
