The dress lead being offered is trimmed with a metallic weave fabric.   A light padding underneath gives the face more body and softness. There are black gold satin ribbons an iridescent tri, and tiny green beads along each side.  The black webbing base is 600lb test polypropylene. The collar part is 1 1/2 inches wide and about 10 inches from ring tip to ring tip. This will fit a whippet or similar size dog with a neck size about 10 1/2 inches to 11 or 11 1/2 inches. The leash part is made of 3/4 inch webbing about 6 ft long.

It is fully lined with the same cotton print fabric and padded for extra comfort.  

What is a Martingale Walking Lead?

A walking lead is a collar/leash unit used for walking.  The collar part slips over your dog’s head and the small plastic ring on the leash slides up or down to adjust for a snug fit  Candy demonstrates how this is worn. This is made as a single unit.  The leash is not detachable.   My leads are designed primarily to fit sighthounds (who can easily back out of a regular collar and leash), but also work well on other breeds of dogs.

 The collar part of the greyhound lead is 2” wide and measures about 13'' to 16'' from ring tip to ring tip, depending on which lead you choose.   The whippet sizes are either 2” or 1 ½” wide (depending on the one you choose) and about 10”’ to 12” from ring tip to ring tip.  The Italian greyhound sizes are 1 ½ ” or 1 ¼” wide and 7” to 9 ½” from ring tip to ring tip. Again depending on which lead you choose.  Measure at the skinniest point of the neck-usually right behind the ears and again a few inches down where the bottom of the collar will rest.  Somewhere between them will determine the correct size.   When the slide on the leash is snugged down, it will pull the rings on the collar section together.  The rings should not touch. There should be at least a 1/2'' space between them.  The best fit is 1'' to 1½ “ between them.  

The entire unit is constructed of 800lb test polypropylene webbing for the greyhound size and 600lb weight for the whippet and IG sizes. The leash part is about 6 ft long.  The D-rings are heavier-weight, zinc plated, welded steel for the larger sizes-- lighter weight, unwelded steel for the smaller sizes.
