This is a lovingly retouched and reprinted Whitney's Indian Designs and Symbols. Charles Frederick Whitney scoured the American West at the end of the nineteenth century and collected thousands of Native American symbols used on household articles and ceremonial pieces. In 1925 he privately printed a small number of these books.
