Notice the heavily scooped seat. Features Pegged Arms. This is a very comfortable chair. Notice the Legs a simple yet asthetic pleasing chair. We have a chair that is almost identical to this one but it has turned legs. See my store. The Side Chair Measures Height-41 1/2" Overall Seat-18 1/4" Wide X 18" Deep Seat Height from floor-18" The Arm Chair Measures Height-41 3/4" Seat-19 1/2" Wide X 18" Deep Arm Height-25 1/2" Seat Heght from floor-18" They are made from Solid Beech Wood. They feature Mortise Tennon Joinery and they are pegged. When turning the chair upside down you will see that the chair parts are Mortised, Glued and Reinforced with Pocket Screws and Brad Nails. Note on Beech Wood. It is very similar in grain to Maple. The hardness is comparable to Rock Maple wich is the hardest lumber you can get. The chair shop takes great care when assembling these chairs. That noted you should have no trouble applying a stain or paint finish. Having finished Thousands of chairs I know that a lower quality chair will give you a very difficult and frustrating time to finish. This is a chair that will last a lifetime and you can be proud to own. The turn around time is 2 to 6 weeks. We stock the chairs unassembled and it is a challenge to put together.
