This book reflects the lively interest in wine labels of collectors in many countries and of a group of long-standing active members of the Wine Label Circle who have contributed to the text in accordance with their own specialist expertise. It explores the history of the development of not only the labels themselves, but also of the great collections. It examines in detail makers, places of manufacture and styles.

Most of the authors have already written articles for the journal of the Wine Label Circle on Specialist subjects.
