New Frosted and Tinted Lucite with Crystal Sun

In this lovely statue, the winged Greek Goddess of the Dawn, Eos, bends to pick up the sun, a 40mm clear crystal globe, nestled in a grassy flowered bed. Her delicate hands are stretched out and one foot is raised as she bends downward, scarf fluttering around her hips as it falls. Her face is pretty and youthful , naked figure trim and supple and decorated butterfly wings rest gently on her back.

The white frosted lucite lightly absorbs the colors of its surroundings and there is an open clear area in the base of the statue that allows light from a light stand to diffuse color throughout the statue. This statue measures 9 1/4"H by 4"W by 4 1/4"D and weighs 1 pound without gift box. (Light stands sold separately)

Eos is the Greek Goddess of the Dawn, the daughter of Hyperion and Theia, both Titans. She is the sister of Helius (Sun) and Selene (Moon) and, partnered with Astraeus, son of Titans, bore the West and South winds and the morning and evening stars. The morning dew is said to be the tears she cries for her mortal son Memnon, who died in the Trojan Wars. The Romans called her Aurora.
