As we continue expanding our line up of Super Seeker stand up rods we are now offering rods built with the Winthrop Tool  guides .. This rod has the 80-130 Excel guides with the Titanium roller tip.    

This rod is 5 foot 11 inches in length with the Aftco Store-a-butt attached. It is powered with a 80-130lb Super Seeker rod blank. 

This Super Seeker blank, like all the Super Seeker blanks has great lift, outstanding early back bone, and wonderful action.   

We used the Aftco short bent Store-a-Butt, on this rod. With this removable aluminum butt, we can add a second butt for this rod at no extra charge.

The second butt will be the winning bidders choice of a shark skin butt .. a smother EVA foam butt .. a ribbed EVA foam butt or a slick butt. The idea for the choice of butts is to be able to use this rod with the short bent aluminum stand up butt when trolling or bait fishing out of a 6 pack or your personal boat, then be able to switch the butt to use on a long range tuna trip.  This is and exceptional value. And as far as i know and exclusive offer.

This rod starts with the Aftco store-a-butt .. then a Super Seeker 80-130 lb rod blank.  The guides are the Winthrop Excel roller guides in black with and titanium roller tip. 

The rod is wrapped in a Pewter metallic thread with black and silver trim.  The Pewter thread color is a very good match to the titanium top. it makes for and exceptional looking rod.

The fore grip is our triangular shaped 13 in fore grip. I designed and had this grip manufactured exclusively for BaR-BaR Tackle. You'll find the design is easy to hold for long periods of time and it is a great help in eliminating the twisting and turning you  get when a conventional rod is under stress. I simply don't know any one that has tried the triangle shape grip and didn't like them

There isn't much i can tell you about the Winthrop Tool roller guides, except they are the very best roller guides manufactured anywhere. The Excel Series of roller guides that are on this rod sport a new frame .. designed and developed from input by experienced rod builder and fisherman. Every roller guide is precision machined our of solid aluminum bar. There are no welds, seams or bends. And never a sharp edge. Ever roller guide incorporates titanium rollers riding on two stainless steel, Teflon sealed ball bearings. The bearings are marine greased and sealed to protect them from the elements. These guides have huge wind on opening ..large enough to accommodate a # 2 pencil. The largest on the market. The roller tip has a solid frame, machined out of a single block of titanium. 

Each guide is under wrapped in the metallic Pewter thread then the guides are attached with 4 layers of C size thread for maximum strength, then trimmed in silver.  

At BaR-BaR Tackle we have a pretty simple goal. We build every rod to be strong, durable, affordable and hard nosed. Rods to last you a life time.

Then i try to make them pretty. Stand up rods seldom have fancy wraps, but i like the look of a rod with a wrap between the first and second guides.
