| Movie description | A popular television show from the mid-1990s designed to foster a love of literature in children, WISHBONE features a lovable and articulate little terrier with a penchant for the classics and a huge imagination. Each episode alternates the "real" events of Wishbone's life, usually centering around his owner, a 12 year old boy, with a parallel narrative in Wishbone's mind. In PAWPRINTS OF THIEVES, Wishbone imagines himself in the role of Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, after his owner gets in trouble at school for taking the time to donate surplus food to a homeless shelter. Then, the world's most articulate pooch is back teaching kids about literature and the fun of reading in HOT DIGGETY DAWG. In this episode, Wishbone is busy helping Wanda dig in his neighbor's yard; while they look for buried treasure, Wishbone is reminded of Jules Verne's JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, and becomes Professor Liedenbrock in his imagination.
