This is a large, vivid painting of a young woman with black cropped hair. The brushwork is very precise, yet still very painterly, and there is a nice quality of light. The womans skin is luminous in shades of off white, cream, golden ochre, and warm red-oranges.  The background is a muted blue with a reddish brown shadow area.

This large painting will make a great focal point to a room... it's 20 x 24 inches on stretched, with the sides painted to match so it's up to you if you frame it.

I will ship this piece with a certificate of authenticitly stating that this is an original painting by Susy Keely (me.)

About the artist: I am a contemporary artist living in Los Angeles. I recieved my BFA in painting at the Rhode Island School of Design.

I paint almost exclusively in oils using artist grade materials. If you have specific questions about materials, I am always happy to do my best to answer them.
