| Excellent impressinist oil showing a woman working in the kitchen, a possible paraphase of Vermeer, which have been done by many artists ever since. The painting is not signed , but on the backsite is written Jules Latour is pencil. It may be a little hard to on the photo. At first I thought that the painting could have been done by Anna Ancher, a well listed Danish artist from the Skagen group, around the turn of the century. She maded many pictures with a similair motif. But since the name Jules Latour is written on the backsite I assume him to be the artist. There are not many auctionsrecords of that name. I only found one at Christie,South Kensinton in 1994. The painting is in a generally good condition. There have been made one repair of a tear, and the painting have been cleaned and vanished. Due to the repair and the cleaning there are a little inpaint. The frame have been reprared as well. Measures approx 17" x 14,5" with frame add 3 " to both sides.
