Up for bid is a Woman’s - Stamper’s Black Hills Gold Harley Davidson ring.

Inside the ring is the Stamper’s hallmark and the 10K marking. This ring weighs 3.2 grams.

This unusual piece is a size 7, 10 karat yellow gold ring.

A heart shape encapsulates the Harley Davidson shield/logo and the LEGENDARY Black Hills ROSE and GREEN gold forms the notorious grape leaves which adorn each side of the heart.

You don’t know the LEGEND of the Black Hills Gold Jewelry and Henri LeBeau?

Well... During the 1949 Gold Rush a young Frenchman decided to go to California to make his fortune.

While in the Black Hills of South Dakota, he became hopelessly lost. As He wandered for days without food or water he had a vision of running water with grape leaves floating in it.

He came upon some wild grapes next to a stream. His vision came true and his life was spared.

LeBeau didn’t strike gold in the Black Hills however he continued his craft which he perfected in Paris some years earlier of designing and making jewelry.

Never forgetting his miraculous encounter, he fashioned his jewelry in the shape of grape clusters and leaves of rose, green and yellow gold.

LeBeau called his creations “GOOD LUCK" jewelry and Legend has it that good luck comes to all who wear Black Hills Gold Jewelry.

Any prospector in his right mind knew he needed good luck, making LeBeau's Black Hills Gold Jewelry a necessity.

Ok, well like any good legend there seem to be some discrepancies in the story depending on who tells it, but since this is my favorite, that’s what I’m passing on…

Regardless of the story the thing that doesn’t change is that the grape leaves and the three colors of gold are synonymous with the Legend of Black Hills Gold.

In 1984 The Stamper Black Hills Gold Inc., began making their collection of Harley-Davidson jewelry.
