Up for your consideration is this nice Amsterdam souvineer from HOLLAND.   It was purchased approximately 36 years ago.  Very nice with the colors still bright and the finish in good condition.  The back of the shoe has 4 or 5 pin holes that are really tiny.  I don't know if this is a signature or something else.  It almost appears too be the place it was held in place to carve?  I don't know for sure.

Signed HOLLAND, with carved & painted around the shoe opening.   A very nice scene.   A large Windmill and a Home and what appears too be a creek and sawmill perhaps.  Maybe just a farm scene.      Also a 1/16 diameter hole drilled into one side.  I believe this was for a ribbon to either hang from your mirror or a hole to attach a second shoe.   Check out the pictures.  Email for any additional information or pictures. 

 

The only thing I know about this item, it was purchased on a trip to Holland back in the 1960'S   OR   EARLY  70's.
