Wool Felt Cloche Flapper Church Hat










 



 
Today’s auction is one of my unique Hand Blocked  cloche hats.   I first start with a 100% Dark Green Wool Felt hat body and stretch over one of my wooden blocks.   The back has an interesting tie back; I use remnants from this felt material to create the tie strings.  This feature accommodates a variety of head sizes:  21.5 to 23.0 inches.   I have incorporated four of my trademark hand-dyed leather  leaves and a hand felted acorn.  Stunning  embellishment!   The hat pictured is the actual hat.   Just let me know if you like this concept, but would like in a different color.


My Hat Return Policy:

Returns are not accepted on hats.   I am a stickler about hat hygiene.  Hats that have been placed on one's head may not be returned;  I will gladly accept hats that need alterations or reshaping.  That is why it is imperative that you ask questions prior to bidding,  that will avoid fitting, structural and style problems.

How to measure your head:

 1. Using a tape measure made of plastic or cloth, measure circumference of head just above top of ears and just above the brow. Make sure the tape lies midway on your occipital bone (the little bone in the middle of the back of your head). 

 2.  Place the tape measure at the top center of your head and measure the distance to where you want the brim to place. This will give the crown depth. It is important that you provide these two measurements to get a perfect fit. Remember; please include your hair in both measurements. Don't pull the tape too tightly; let it sit comfortably, i.e. how you'd like the hat to fit.  

Each hat is steamed cleaned and wrapped in plastic to ensure a fresh and sanitary hat.
