Apple 1 Computer Reproduction
Note This is an assembed version of the Apple 1 kits that I have been selling on ebay (with some modifications). If you are interested in a kit version, please visit my other auctions. I will have limited access to the net over the next week, so email responses may be delayed. Thanks!
In 1975 Steve Wozniak freely distributed schematics and code listings for his homebuilt computer at the Homebrew Computer Club. With Steve Jobs help this computer became the Apple 1, the first product of the Apple Computer company.
Now, 30 years later, due to its historic value, the Apple 1 computer is worth tens of thousands of dollars. Most computer hobbyist never will see one, let alone own one. This Apple 1 reproduction was created so that hobbyist or computer museums could display a "real looking" working Apple 1 computer that has the same feel and look of the original, but without the expense and the "hope I don't break the thing" problems of operating a real Apple 1 computer. This computer uses the exact same parts as the original, no design changes were made.
Woz's simplistic minimalistic layout (4 x 18 rows of chips) was a great engineering feat that I wanted to preserve in the reproduction and is really critical to show why the company succeeded where other clunky designs failed. Here is a best history I have read about Woz and the origin of the Apple 1 Computer.

More details concerning this board are in my kit version that I offer in my other auctions, please visit that auction for more information. Basically I used my kit and added a mounting plate to make it more presentable (the plate is thick black brushed anodized aluminum, similar to the look of high end audio equipment).
Note this unit is still not a "UL listed" type of computer, its an experimental hobbyist computer, please treat it as such. (the exposed transformers do look nice though!)
The apple reproduction computer offered in this auction is plug and play, and includes a monitor, just open the box plug it in and go!!! The monitor is not that great but its small and portable, you can always use your TV composite video input if you like, just plug it in.
Well here are some pictures, enjoy! Unit is guaranteed not DOA, I have plenty of replacement parts if needed.
Fixed shipping $30 USA
Paypal only. Good luck!!!!!!
