WosWit 10 ounce LEMON BUTTER

Our Pennsylvania Dutch foods are all prepared and jarred on the same family run farm in Pennsylvania.  The lemon butter is delicious and good on crackers, cake, sconces, or try this Lemon tart recipe.  The lemon butter comes in a 10 ounce jar.

Lemon Tarts

Pastry

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/3 cup shortening

5 tbls. ice water

Sift flour with baking powder and salt.  Cut in shortening; gradually add ice water.  Blend until dough holds together; then form into a ball.  Divide into two parts and roll out 1/8 inch thick.  Cut with 2 1/2 inch cookie cutter and place on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.  Cool and spread about 1 tsp. LEMON BUTTER on each.  Makes 32 tarts.
