Writing Services from a Published Author. 

I am an expert on science fiction and fantasy.  I have sold and published numerous works of science fiction and fantasy (please see my Writing Credits list page on my eBay Store for my current list of writing and publishing credits, the list is too long to fit here). I was the publisher of Berserkrgangr Magazine in the early 90s. I owned and operated The Science Fiction Store, a retail book and gift store in Las Vegas, NV, from 1995-1997.  I go to cons, write filk, and I know what fen want.

Fee Structure For Credited Works (co-authored):

Short subjects:  $200.

Longer subjects:  $200/ 1,000 words.  Minimum $200. For example, writing your novel of 35,000 words from your notes would come to $7,000, a very reasonable price for a book, and much less than the average publisher's advance.

Fee Structured for Ghostwriting:

Short Subjects: $500

Longer Subjects: $500/ 1,000 words.  Minimum $500. 

The reason that ghostwriting costs more than credited works is because I can't include works I've ghostwritten in my list of credits, therefore they don't help me obtain more work, get more money for future work, or sell more books.  There is a premium for leaving my name off of the book.  If you are a retiree wanting to write an autobiography to tell your life story, and you are not famous, you probably will get just as much enjoyment and money, out of your book if it's co-authored (by Your Name and Erin Lale, or possibly by Your Name as told to Erin Lale) as you would if it were ghostwritten.  Usually only celebrities make more money on their books if they pretend to have written it entirely themselves.

Do you have a deadline? Please email me first to be sure I can meet it before you buy. About handle time: I generally have a short handle time, but if you need a magnum opus of 100,000 words, that may take longer to write than eBay's allowed handle time. Files will be delivered to you via email in Word for Windows format.  If the book will be too long to email, let me know before I begin writing whether you want it broken into separate files for each chapter so it can be emailed, or if you would prefer to have me upload it to the net so you can download it. If you would also like a hardcopy on paper mailed to you, or an electronic copy on a disk or CD mailed to you, then there will also be a materials and shipping and handling fee.
