Writing Services from a Published Author. 

Do you need a press release? A brochure? A TV or radio ad script? How about a TV ad script from a writer whose TV ad for an independent bookstore's booksigning event pulled in $23,000 in one day?

If that last sentence made you sit up and pay attention, then you see the power of good writing.

I write and edit a wide variety of nonfiction, fiction, poetry, ad copy, blog posts, scripts, catalog copy, website content, and technical writing.  Yes, including the abovementioned TV ad.  I've written the procedure manual for several small businesses.  I've done a lot of technical writing, including a dozen technical documents for a telecommunications company in which I not only wrote the how to documents, I invented the technical processes.  This service is for writing only, not for research, development, or invention.

Fee Structure:

Short subjects: Press release, 1 page brochure or flyer, TV or radio advertisement script, 1 page technical document, blog post, 1 page website content, 1 item catalog copy, short poem (advertising jingle, magic spell, greeting card copy, etc.), 1 paragraph abstract (summary of scientific paper for publication), or other short subject of 1 page or less: $200.

Longer subjects:  Technical manuals, procedure manuals, books, scripts, articles for publication, memoirs, scientific papers, speeches, essays, novels, etc.:  $200/ 1,000 words.  Minimum $200. For example, ghostwriting your autobiography of 35,000 words would come to $7,000, a very reasonable price for all rights to a full length book, and far less than a typical publisher's advance.

Do you have a deadline? Please email me first to be sure I can meet it before you buy. About handle time: I generally have a short handle time, but if you need a magnum opus of 100,000 words, that may take longer to write than eBay's allowed handle time.  If I will need to interview you to write your project, rather than writing from your notes, the handle time will largely depend on you.

Files will be delivered to you via email in Word for Windows format.  If the book will be too long to email, let me know before I begin writing whether you want it broken into separate files for each chapter so it can be emailed, or if you would prefer to have me upload it to the net so you can download it. If you would also like a hardcopy on paper mailed to you, or an electronic copy on a disk or CD mailed to you, then there will also be a materials and shipping and handling fee.
