Early original vintage Christmas Candy Container.
Victorian. German. Belsnickle or Woodsman.
He has a papier mache face, hands and boots.
His clothes are made of felt and leather.
He has a cardboard candy container inner and carries a feather branch.
His boots have been broken but the glued repair seems strong and he can stand upright on his own.
Otherwise in good sound condition with only a thumb missing.
He has a beautifully painted face with very expressive eyes.
Nice and tall - he is about 10" high
A lovely unusual
collectable.
